Brighton based artist, Louise Bristow, works primarily in painting and printmaking. Her working process involves making intricate 3-dimensional models of real and imagined architectural forms combined with collage elements to form tabletop arrangements in her studio. These scenes become the starting point for her paintings.
Louise has had solo shows in Permanent Gallery, Brighton, Laura Mars Group, Berlin and most recently at Oriel Davies, Newtown, Wales.
She helped set up and run a group studio called Maze, and later joined Phoenix Brighton, where she continues to be based. Alongside her studio practice she has worked widely in education, as a tutor and workshop facilitator, and currently works as a freelance art handler.
