The Drawing Trilogy at Three Doors Up

Tutored summer day classes with artist Geraint Ross Evans at Three Doors Up, Queens Arcade Cardiff

Drawing in the City Centre

Sun 27th Aug 10am – 4pm
£25 (£20 when booking all 3 sessions) The city is in flux, from its architecture to its inhabitants, it is swelling and dying back all the time. For centuries; artists, writers, musicians have been drawn to the city for its rush and movement, to be close to life at the great metropolitan market place. As modern flaneurs, observers and critics; what can we make of Cardiff’s City Centre with just our hands, eyes and marks?

Drawing from Art
Tue 29th Aug 10am – 4pm
£25 (£20 when booking all 3 sessions)
Paintings can often seem like magic, conquered visions from the great geniuses gone by, these windows into other worlds can take you there. These images in fact come out of a long lineage of picture making, ideas that have developed throughout art history. Join us to discover the tricks of the trade by drawing from the collection at the National Museum Cardiff and see how drawing from artworks can change the way we understand paintings.

The Human Presence
Sun 3rd Sept 10am – 4pm
